EG’s Mungo Scott Flour Mill To Host Furniture, Furnishing And Lighting Design Exhibition

To mark the completion of the Flour Mill of Summer Hill community, one of Sydney’s most significant urban renewal projects, and specifically the newly-restored Mungo Scott Flour Mill, an exhibition featuring furnishings, furniture and lighting designs created by independent Australian designers and makers called ‘Home.Grown.’, will be held in the Mungo Scott building.

Held as part of the Sydney Design Festival and presented by the AUTHENTIC DESIGN ALLIANCE and The Design Directory.org, it will he held from Friday 8 to Sunday 10 March 2019, and will include a marketplace, installations, pop-ups and a series of talks, over 3 floors.

The exhibition explores the increasing value and currency of ‘Australian-designed’ and ‘Australian made’ products and why is it now more important than ever to value locally created products and collections.

Attendees can meet designers, discover makers, find new products and learn about the importance of investing in the locally created products destined for where we live, work and play. The HOME.GROWN. Marketplace offers visitors the opportunity to buy original products and accessories from some of Australia’s most dynamic homewares brands.

Exhibition tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite in advance for $10, plus a small booking fee.
