Michael overviews EG’s strategic direction, maintaining a strong engagement with the detail of our projects. His experience in infrastructure, funds management and property development runs deep.
Until February 2022, Michael was the independent Chair of the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA). A Director of digital twin technology companies Willow and Reveal, Michael is the current President of the Australia Defence Association, and a Director of the Ramsay Centre for Western Civilisation. Past directorships include the ACT’s City Renewal Authority, ING RE, State Super, NRMA Insurance, ActewAGL, IconWater, State Rail Authority of NSW, Sydney Metro Transport and ANZ (2000 Olympic) Stadium. In addition, Michael was a founding director of both Macquarie Infrastructure Group and Macquarie Goodman.
A Member of the Order of Australia, a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Michael has a MSc from the University of Oxford and PhDs from Melbourne University and UNSW.
