EG is pleased to congratulate two of our senior team members, Grant Flannigan and Ian Lieblich, for their recent appointments to serve on committees with the Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) in NSW and the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), respectively.
With over 35 years’ experience in property development and project management, EG’s Development Director, Grant Flannigan, is set to extend his expertise to UDIA’s Urban Development Committee for another year in 2022. Bringing his passion for developing self-sustaining, well-connected communities, Grant will play a key role in advocating for innovation and urban renewal across NSW cities. Most recently, Grant led EG’s Developments team in delivering the multi-award-winning Flour Mill of Summer Hill.
UDIA NSW is the state’s leading development industry body, representing more than 500 member companies and agencies across the public and private sector. These include councils, state government departments, academics, lawyers, engineers and developers.
Having joined the team during EG’s year of record growth, our new Head of ESG, Ian Lieblich, will lend his voice to PRI’s inaugural Real Estate Advisory Committee in 2022. With extensive industry experience, Ian has previously served on the IGCC’s Policy & Advocacy Working Group, UNEPFI’s TCFD and Real Estate Working Groups, PCA’s Sustainability Committee, ANREV’s Sustainability Committee, and the City of Sydney’s Better Buildings Partnership.
Ian is excited to work alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry to improve outcomes in the built environment – a portion of our economy responsible for 40% of global emissions. Chaired by Anna Murray and Calvin Lee Kwan, the Committee brings in experts across several global regions and institution types.
“EG is delighted to see two of our own celebrated for their efforts”, said EG’s Executive Director, Roger Parker.
Drawing on EG’s B.I.G. Thinking™ philosophy to embed social impact outcomes, Grant and Ian look forward to contributing their unique perspectives to the important work of these key industry bodies.
