Grant Flannigan

Development Director

BE (Civil)

Grant navigates EG through the successful execution of our strategy for all development projects across Australia. It is a dynamic role that continues to yield great success for both Grant and EG – both in terms of exceeding economic return targets and creating lasting communities.

Most recently Grant and his team have completed the Flour Mill of Summer Hill, a master-planned community awarded the NSW AILA Architecture Awards for Urban Design and named finalists in the Urban Developer Excellence Awards for ‘New Communities’ and ‘Urban Regeneration’. In addition, he has led the Tempo Drummoyne, Bosco at Five Dock and The Herald, Newcastle projects to great success.

Grant brings a calm approach to the complex world of developments. With experience in property development, management and construction projects of a major size, Grant manages the challenges of the role with a sense of humour and humility. He says: “It’s an industry that I love, particularly the ability to improve on the built environment for everyone’s benefit. We’re not just creating spaces, we’re defining people-first places - places that impact the way people engage with their surroundings, grow as individuals and make the world a better place”.

Before joining EG, Grant led as Development Director at Australand (now Frasers). He headed up the Discovery Point development at Sydney’s Wolli Creek, a $1.2 billion mixed-use development. Grant has also held successful senior roles with Stockland and Macquarie Bank.

In his time at EG, Grant has established himself as a key part of EG culture and vision for the future. He is passionate about building long term relationships within the development industry as well as empowering his team to grow and become leaders themselves. “Everyone should strive to become an industry leader in their chosen field”, says Grant.
